WWE and Impact Wrestling officials met last week at WWE’s headquarters in Stamford, CT, reports Mike Johnson of PWInsider. The officials involved from Impact were Ed Nordholm and Scott D’Amore while “members of Triple H’s team” were in attendance on behalf of WWE. Vince McMahon was not a part of the meeting.
The two sides reportedly met in the middle of last week for a general discussion about the two companies and there was no negotiation regarding anything specific. WWE and Impact Wrestling have worked together in the past in a behind-the-scenes manner with WWE paying Impact to license footage from their video library to show on the WWE Network, most recently past footage of the Hardys and AJ Styles.
WWE has yet to comment on this story and Impact has declined to comment on the specifics of the meeting but did say that it had nothing to do with either the sale of the company or its video library, indicating that neither are for sale at this time.
