It was previously reported that All Elite Wrestling released former 2-time AEW World Champion CM Punk for a number of reasons, most especially due to his incident with Jack Perry at last weekend’s All In London PPV Event from Wembley Stadium. PWInsider.com reports that there is a mixed backstage reaction from the AEW locker room on the release of the former 2-time AEW World Champion, with a number of AEW Stars being really down about it, while others believe it was the right move and they are happy.

The report also mentions that there are those in the middle who are just happy that AEW President and CEO Tony Khan made a decision and now everyone can move forward from Punk and focus on the promotion. It is very unfortunate that CM Punk was released at this specific time as AEW will hold their All Out PPV Event later tonight from Punk’s hometown of Chicago.
