— CM Punk’s name and photo were visibly missing from the press release and graphic that was released by AEW touting the upcoming launch of their new show “Collision”, which was expected to feature Punk “front and center” as one of the top stars on the show. Backstage, there was said to be “a lot of surprise” among AEW wrestlers when Punk wasn’t mentioned as almost everyone expected the June 17 debut in Chicago to be the time and place where Punk returns. Interestingly, AEW also declined to mention a city/venue for the launch show but will have to do that soon in order to sell tickets.
— As for Collision, pwinsider.com is reporting that AEW is not going to be moving ahead with a hard or on-camera “brand split” but some talent will more or less be exclusive to the Saturday show while others could possibly be on both Collision and Dynamite depending on storylines and creative. The two shows and two rosters is not expected to be something lie a Raw/Smackdown brand split nor was it ever discussed internally to resemble that sort of direction.
— With another show on tap for AEW, it is believed that live house shows will be placed on hod for the time being, however, the company has still tentatively scheduled some non-televised live events in October.
