WWE wrote out Braun Strowman temporarily from storylines by suspending after actions that took pace on Monday Night Raw last week when Strowman attacked official Adam Pearce.
However, the belief was that Strowman actually was recovering from some sort of legitimate injury that he likely suffered at Survivor Series and complicating matters was the fact that WWE’s original plan was to move forward with a Strowman vs. Drew McIntyre WWE title match at next month’s TLC PPV.
As of earlier this week, it was unclear if WWE was going in a different direction given the triple threat match between AJ Styles, Riddle and Keith Lee to determine McIntyre’s next challenger or if there was a creative plan in place to bring Strowman in.
F4Wonline.com is now confirming that a knee injury is indeed the reason Strowman was written out with the storyline suspension and that the #1 contender match scheduled for Raw tonight is going to set up the McIntyre match at TLC.
