In a new report from The Wrap, SmackDown Live’s run time will remain at a two-hour length when the show moves to Friday night’s on the Fox network this October.
There is no indication on whether or not a third-hour was ever in the running for the blue-brand series, as Fox’s national primetime programming ends at 10pm Eastern, right when SmackDown would conclude.
Reports claim that there is still a possibility that a wrestling extension, or a companion program could spill over to Fox Sports 1 (FS1).
It was announced by WWE Executive Talent VP Triple H that a studio show would air on FS1 on Tuesday nights sometime this fall.
