The ongoing negotiations between WWE and Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, better known collectively as The Revival, continue to be one of the more interesting news beats to follow in the behind-the-scenes world of the WWE Universe here in early 2020.
WWE has done a good job over the months and the past year to re-sign several key talent to multi-year contracts, but one tag team that has notably refrained from re-signing (so far) are The Revival, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson.
As reported before, their contracts with WWE are set to expire in the spring time frame of 2020 and the promotion has made significant efforts over the last eight months to try and lock them down, even offering them guaranteed multi-year contracts worth upwards of $500,000 each annually.
Since then, WWE has signed The O.C. – Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson – to five year contracts worth even more than the original offer to the Revival, according to a new report by fightful.com and the latest is that WWE has put a new offer on the table for Wilder and Dawson that may even exceed the figures that Gallows and Anderson agreed to.
The report adds that while The Revival have not accepted these new deals, they haven’t outright rejected them either with WWE “throwing everything at (them)” and the team has responded by saying “we’ll let you know.”
Several key people within WWE want to keep The Revival around but along with the monetary issue, there are creative differences too as the duo is looking for the company to create and maintain a well booked tag team division.
