— There has been a lot of recent online speculation about John Cena’s WrestleMania 41 match, namely who he might be facing with Logan Paul originally rumored but with the latest news suggesting WWE has shied awy from that match, perhaps due to fan backlash. PWInsider.com is reporting that a new Cena match has now begun to be discussed backstage.

— According to their report, most of the internal talk has centered around the idea of Cody Rhodes being Cena’s opponent at WrestleMania, which would be his final match at that show before he retires at the end of 2025. The report adds that this match has been brought up by WWE sources over the last two weeks and most recently, yesterday but that a caution was given that if The Rock decide to swoop in and return to WWE, and specifically wanted to work with either Rhodes or Cena, WWE would definitely shuffle around their creative plans to accommodate the Rock.
