Earlier this month, WWE hired Cyrus Kowsari as the Senior Director of Creative Strategy. He took to his LinkedIn account to express his excitement about joining the promotion, highlighting his passion for various aspects of professional wrestling, such as storytelling, production, and the athleticism involved, all of which contribute to making it a must-see television product.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer discussed Kowsari’s role as WWE’s Senior Director of Creative Strategy. According to Meltzer, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque stated that Kowsari will lead the company’s transition to AI-based storytelling. Meltzer also mentioned that Kowsari will serve as a liaison to the White House, with Triple H expanding his political responsibilities as well.
The report further noted that WWE has a partnership with Writer AI, and the platform has already been populated with WWE content. However, Meltzer revealed that he was informed by a source close to the situation that the software has produced “absurdly bad storylines,” including one related to Bobby Lashley, who is no longer associated with the company. The report concluded by stating that Triple H believes the shift to AI-based storytelling is “inevitable.”
