According to Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net, WWE is seriously considering moving the 2025 Draft from its usual post-WrestleMania spring timeframe to a period shortly after SummerSlam, which takes place in August.
Traditionally, the WWE Draft has occurred in the spring following WrestleMania, aimed at shaking up the rosters of RAW and SmackDown. However, internal discussions now suggest that the company is leaning toward holding the Draft in September, aligning it with the season premiere episodes of its weekly shows.
One key reason for this potential shift is WWE’s desire to allow summer storylines to develop naturally without interruption. With SummerSlam scheduled for the weekend of August 2nd and 3rd, officials believe this event could serve as a logical point to reset the rosters as they head into the fall season.
Additionally, recent NXT call-ups and ongoing long-term storylines have reduced the necessity for a WWE Draft in the spring, providing the company with greater flexibility in scheduling. While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, all indications currently point to the 2025 WWE Draft being positioned as a fall event, marking a departure from its traditional post-WrestleMania timing.
