Dave Meltzer mentioned in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that the current WWE NXT Champion, Ricky Saints, has decided to adopt the Tornado DDT as his new finishing move. This change was made because WWE prefers he not perform the Roshambo on larger opponents. Meltzer also pointed out that WWE has advised against using the spear as a finisher due to its widespread use among many wrestlers.

During last Saturday’s WWE NXT Halloween Havoc event, Saints successfully defended his title against former champion Trick Williams in the main event, scoring the pinfall victory with the Tornado DDT. Saints had previously used this move, which he calls the Coup D’état, to win the NXT Championship by defeating Oba Femi at WWE NXT No Mercy.
