WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E. recently appeared as a guest on The A-Side Live Chat at MMAFighting.com for an in-depth interview covering all things pro wrestling and mixed martial arts.
During the interview, the pro wrestling veteran was asked if he were to pick one fighter from the current UFC roster to join The New Day, who would it be and why, leading him to explain why UFC Middleweight Champion Israel “The Last Stylebender” Adesanya would be the perfect choice in his opinion.
Featured below is an excerpt from the interview where the WWE Superstar explains why the MMA fighting mega-star would make for a good fit in The New Day faction.
“Israel [Adesanya’s] an obvious choice. I’m really looking for personality here and he’s a hell of a dancer. My God, what a dancer and even though he’s coming off a loss, I’m still going Adesanya. To me, he’s a star, he’s still a star, he’s got a ton of personality, he’s got the hips for the job and we need some length. All of us are like 6’0 or that 5’9 to 6’0 range. We need a guy with some length and so we’ll bring Izzy in for that.”
