Longtime WWE Superstar Big Show recently spoke with Chris Van Vliet of WSVN-TV Entertainment for an interview and discussed the recent physical transformation he has gone through as his rumored high-profile match with Shaquille O’Neal at WrestleMania 33 draws closer.
The longtime WWE veteran noted that in just six months, he has dropped 70 pounds. The man who used to be listed as 7-feet tall and “weighing over 500 pounds,” is reportedly under the 400 pound mark these days.
“I’m 70 pounds lighter than I was six months ago,” Big Show said. “I’m down to 396 pounds. I haven’t been this skinny since 1995. I’m the not-so-big Big Show!”
Regarding the Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal match rumored for WrestleMania 33, he noted that he has done his part by putting the idea out there at the ESPY Awards and that the ball is in Shaq’s court at this point.
“I threw it out to Shaq at the ESPY Awards and said, ‘What’s up. Let’s get this thing going. Let’s give it a run,'” said Big Show. “He seemed hip to the game then so we’ll see what happens between now and then. He’s got a lot of little people and I’ve got a lot of little people that have to meet and talk. The invitation is there. Shaq knows it’s in Orlando, it’s a short drive. Show up and get smacked up.”
