If you were planning to buy a ticket to this year’s WrestleMania to see such top names as Triple H, Bill Goldberg or Ronda Rousey wrestle on “The Grandest Stage of Them All,” you might want to hang on to your money for the time being.
The latest update coming out of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter at F4WOnline.com insist that as of this point, HHH, Goldberg and Rousey are all expected to take off this year’s show in terms of working an actual match on the card at WrestleMania 36.
Of course in WWE, particularly during WrestleMania season, plans could and often do change, especially if Vince McMahon decides that Goldberg is a better opponent for Roman Reigns near the top of the card.
A potentially related story was posted over the weekend here at eWrestling.com regarding WWE looking to overhaul the WrestleMania 36 card at the top, with the previously rumored Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns match in jeopardy.
If WWE wants to go with the Goldberg vs. Reigns match instead, there will likely be a title change at WWE Super ShowDown later this week.
As noted, Goldberg vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt for the WWE Universal Championship is the main event of the live WWE Network special from Mohammed Abdu Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this Thursday afternoon, February 27th.
WrestleMania 36 is scheduled to take place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on Sunday, April 5th. The show will air live via pay-per-view and will stream live for members of the WWE Network.
