Ahead of this Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which features Bill Goldberg as one of the 30 men who will be participating in this year’s over-the-top battle royal, the former WCW legend and current part-time WWE Superstar spoke with CBS Sports to promote the big event.
During the interview, Goldberg was asked about how he would handle things if he were to win the World Title, and whether or not he would be willing to work a “full-time schedule” if he were to achieve that accomplishment.
“If that were to happen, it depends on your definition of full time,” said Goldberg during the interview. “If you have the strap, the WWE title, you gotta be on TV to defend it. I guess we’ll cross that bridge if we get there.”
Additionally, Goldberg spoke about the respect he has been receiving from current WWE Superstars behind-the-scenes when he is at WWE events such as RAW and the Survivor Series pay-per-view back in November.
“The respect is unbelievable,” Goldberg said. “I feel like an elder statesman. I’m very happy for the business that such good people are in control of it now. It seems like they’re a great group of kids in the locker room. And that’s really nice to see, because in past years, that has not always been the case.”
