Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion The Brian Kendrick is preparing to take on a backstage role with the company. While speaking during a Life After Wrestling video, Kendrick discussed making the transition into a producer role. The “man with the plan” stated:
“Initially the idea of producing just seemed like it was a good, I’m not sure if retirement plan is the right thing, but the next best thing to wrestling,” said Kendrick. “But it turns out it’s just as rewarding in different ways. I love every bit of it. It’s a whole new way of looking at wrestling for me. I welcome the challenge and if I get to produce four matches and wrestle twice in one night, I’d do it. I’m pumped”.
Brian continued to talk about his new player-coach role, gave a look into how happy he feels about it. Kendrick explained:
“I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy it to work with these young ladies and men. I get to participate without taking any of the bumps, which is really nice. It’s got me really excited about potentially doing this long-term,” Kendrick says at the end”.
