— In a follow-up to a previous post about creative plans for Brock Lesnar heading into and for WrestleMania 39, pwinsider.com is also reporting that the original plan for him was to face Bray Wyatt and it was in place all the way up to Elimination Chamber. That is when that proposed match was scrapped – believed to be at the request of Lesnar – and this led to the finish for the Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley match to also change as the original plan was for Brock to go over clean while the final result was a DQ finish. As for Bray Wyatt, the report notes that at one point a match against Karrion Kross was discussed for WrestleMania, but that those plans didn’t go very far before they were nixed.
— Finally, the report also mentions that backstage at Elimination Chamber, Lesnar was heard giving a bit of a “farewell” and telling some people that he was “finishing up” though it’s unclear what context he meant that in as sources have since stated that it isn’t necessarily accurate in the belief that he is wrapping up his wrestling career though it is believed that he will probably be on the card for the next Saudi Arabia show – possibly against Lashley – as those events are always a massive payday for him. The report speculates that it’s possible Lesnar takes a break after that show.
