WWE is promoting an Open Challenge from WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy on next week's edition of 205 Live.
This Wednesday's episode of 205 Live concluded with Murphy doing a backstage interview and announcing that he is issuing an open challenge to anyone who meets the 205-pound limit for next week.
Murphy stated that although he is the reigning WWE Cruiserweight Champion, the open challenge is for a non-title match. 205 Live takes place next Wednesday night from Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama.
As far as the title is concerned, Murphy's third challenger was revealed on last night's show when Hideo Itami defeated Cedric Alexander to become the fourth man in the Fatal-4-Way match at this month's WWE pay-per-view.
The WWE Cruiserweight Championship will be up for grabs when Buddy Murphy puts the title on the line against Itami, Kalisto and Akira Tozawa at WWE Royal Rumble 2019, live from Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday, January 27th.
