Charlotte Flair Claims WWE “Normalized” Women Being In Main Events On Big Shows

Charlotte Flair recently appeared on the Arroe Collins podcast for an in-depth interview covering all things pro wrestling.

During her appearance on the program, “The Queen” spoke about having the mindset that women’s matches are on a level playing field with the men’s matches in WWE, as well as how the company has normalized women being in the main event position on high-profile special events.

Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview where the women’s wrestling legend touches on these topics.

On having the mindset that women’s matches are on a level playing field with men’s matches in WWE: “No one says, ‘that was a great women’s match.’ No, it was just a great match. We are equals all around. The women right now have put so much time and effort into the style, the character, taking pieces from the past, growing with the future, and laying it all out there and having the mindset that just because it’s female, it’s any less.”

On WWE normalizing women being in main event spots on high-profile special events: “We’re storytellers and that’s what we do, that’s why everyone is talking about it. There is no difference, man or woman. Anyone can be the main event and if we are the main event, no one is going ‘oh my gosh, women are the main event.’ We’ve normalized it.”
