Chris Jericho wants New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) to “put aside all of the hurt feelings and egos” and do some business together.
Following his victory over Hiroshi Tanahashi at WrestleKingdom 14, the AEW World Champion told the NJPW media that the “forbidden door” between AEW and NJPW could still be open.
Jericho states that both companies should put aside any hurt feelings and egos before teasing a possible return at next year’s WrestleKingdom.
“The forbidden door is closed, but I don’t think it needs to be closed,” Jericho said. “Put aside all of the hurt feelings and egos.”
Had Tanahashi won he would have received a shot at Jericho’s AEW title, which both companies acknowledged as a stipulation.
