Chris Jericho took to social media on Saturday to deliver one final message to his opponent for his AEW World Heavyweight Championship defense ahead of tonight’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view.
On his official Instagram page, “Le Champion” of All Elite Wrestling and the leader of The Inner Circle made a reference to giving Jon Moxley a receipt for the headbutt he received during the official weigh-in for their PPV title match on the “go-home” episode of AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday night in Kansas City, MO.
“The day has finally arrived,” wrote Jericho on his IG page on Saturday. “Moxley, you had a hell of a run…but now the reality of Le Champion is gonna hit you RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYE,” he added, referencing the aforementioned headbutt, which resulted in the AEW World Heavyweight Champion receiving seven stitches after Wednesday night’s show (View Photos Here).
Jericho’s final message to Moxley ahead of their showdown at AEW Revolution tonight at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois read, “AEW Revolution…LIVE on PPV and on FITE TV! #JerichoVsMoxley.”
