We have a new number one contender in All Elite Wrestling.
Following his victory over The Blade on this week’s AEW Dynamite: Homecoming show on TNT, undefeated Christian Cage was declared the new number one contender, moving up from his number two spot.
In a backstage interview, Cage teased coming after The Elite soon, noting he will be at AEW Rampage and AEW Dynamite next week.
Dave Meltzer noted during a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio at F4WOnline.com that Christian Cage vs. Kenny Omega for the AEW Championship appears to be the direction for the next AEW pay-per-view main event.
