Update On CM Punk's WWE Backstage On FS1 Return & Possible Surprise Return At WWE Survivor Series (11/14/2019)

CM Punk Profile Page Re-Added To WWE.com, Will He Make Official WWE Return At Survivor Series?

It looks like CM Punk could actually shock the WWE Universe next Sunday even more than he did this past Tuesday when he made a surprise return on WWE Backstage On FS1, as “The Best in the World” is being teased for next Tuesday’s show — the “go-home” episode leading into the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view in Punk’s hometown of Chicago.

For those who missed it, “The Best in the World” made a shocking return during Tuesday night’s episode of the FOX-produced studio television series covering the latest news and happenings in the world of WWE.

Check out the video of CM Punk’s surprise return during the WWE Backstage On FS1 broadcast here.

After the show, the WWE on FOX YouTube channel also released this video showing various WWE Superstars reacting to CM Punk’s return.

Additionally, behind-the-scenes footage of what happened with Punk and the WWE Backstage On FS1 panel that featured Renee Young, Paige, Booker T, Samoa Joe and Adam Cole has also surfaced online, as the cameras kept rolling after the broadcast ended on FS1.

As noted, we have all of the backstage details on when the deal came together, which one member of the WWE Backstage On FS1 panel knew Punk was coming and how his deal works in terms of FOX and WWE, as the WWE Backstage On FS1 show is produced by FOX and is a separate entity from WWE.

In another update, after his appearance on Tuesday night’s episode of WWE Backstage On FS1, CM Punk’s profile has resurfaced on the official WWE website (View Here).

Despite the affiliation, Punk’s deal for WWE Backstage On FS1 is directly with the FOX network, rather than WWE. It does, however, go without saying that this deal greatly increases the chances of him appearing on WWE programming in the future.

CM Punk is scheduled to return on next week’s edition of WWE Backstage On FS1, which premieres on Tuesday, November 19th at 11pm Eastern Time, and will be the final episode of the show leading into the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view later that weekend.

We will keep you posted here at eWrestling.com as soon as any additional information regarding CM Punk’s WWE status and future plans become available!
