CM Punk To Replace Jon Moxley In AEW Title Eliminator Semifinal Tourney Match On Tonight’s Dynamite?

Could “The Best in the World” and “Freshly Squeezed” himself be getting into a high-stakes squared circle showdown tonight in Independence, Missouri?

Ahead of tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite in the Kansas City area, the company has confirmed that due to Jon Moxley entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program, he has been pulled from his scheduled AEW World Title Eliminator semifinal showdown against Orange Cassidy.

Additionally, AEW has confirmed that Cassidy will continue in his semifinal tournament match tonight as advertised, however it will be against a different opponent.

Whether CM Punk is teasing that he is the replacement, or is simply commenting on the news remains to be seen, however the pro wrestling veteran took to social media today to share a GIF of an orange being peeled along with a caption that reads, “Orange? #AEW.”

The tweet was posted less than ten minutes after AEW announced that Cassidy will still be competing in a tourney match against a yet-to-be-named opponent.
