CM Punk Reveals What Jesse Ventura Told Him This Week At WWE Raw

The WWE Universe has CM Punk to thank for Jesse Ventura returning to the company earlier this week.

During an appearance on The SI Media Podcast with Jimmy Traina to promote his grudge match against Drew McIntyre, with Seth “Freakin'” Rollins as special guest referee at WWE SummerSlam: Cleveland on August 3, “The Best in the World” revealed what he and the former Minnesota Governor spoke about while chatting in the empty arena in St. Paul, MN. on July 29 in the photo that “The Body” shared via social media.

“I saw Governor Ventura the other day,” Punk said. “Absolutely, 100% blown away, one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me in my life is he tells me that he saw I came back, and he said, ‘The place must have changed. If Punk is back, I’ll go back.”

Earlier this week, Ventura first popped on X to comment on footage of him being greeted by Paul “Triple H” Levesque at WWE Raw in St. Paul on 7/29.

“Yes, it’s true. The Body is back home,” Ventura wrote in response to the WWE X account sharing the video footage of his arrival. “Thank you Triple H and the whole WWE family.”

In an additional post on social media, the WWE Hall of Fame legend shared a photo of himself talking with Punk inside the empty arena in St. Paul at the WWE SummerSlam: Cleveland “go-home” episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.

“Why did I come back? For moments like these,” Ventura wrote as the caption to the photo of himself and Punk.
