CM Punk’s Issues With AEW Resolved; Punk to Return Next Month For AEW Collision

— It looks like whatever issues existed between CM Punk and AEW have been ironed out and the embattled wrestler will be returning to the company as part of the AEW Collision debut next month, with the location now being announced as Chicago’s United Center.

— F4Wonline.com’s Dave Meltzer reported that a final meeting Punk and AEW CE Tony Khan “went well” and there were multiple other issues that were worked out, including an agreement that nobody would speak publicly on the post-All Out brawl that took place last year that effectively put Punk’s run in AEW on thin ice. When it comes to Punk’s good friend Ace Steel, who was in the center of the brawl, he has been under an agreement with AEW for “many weeks” but will be working from home as part of the arrangement. As reported before, the main issue between Punk and AEW was disagreement on Steel’s status as Punk wanted him on the road at Collision while AEW’s mindset was that he was hired to work remotely. By the sounds of Meltzer’s report, Punk has backed down and Steel will not be at TV.
