Cody Teases AEW Coming To United Kingdom, Talks Success Of U.K. TV Ratings On iTV

Cody Rhodes recently boasted about the success of the All Elite Wrestling television ratings in the United Kingdom, as well as plans for AEW to run live events and television tapings in the U.K. as soon as they are able to take the company on the road again.

The AEW superstar and Executive VP took to social media on Sunday to comment on AEW’s strong numbers in the United Kingdom. The promotion’s deal with ITV has been paying off as they’ve outdone all of their competitors over the last year, including WWE’s weekly NXT and SmackDown shows, as well as reaching nearly six-million people.

“This is some really positive/staggering data & research about our friends across the pond,” wrote Cody about the AEW TV deal with iTV .

From there, “The American Nightmare” spoke about All Elite Wrestling still planning to take their product to the U.K. market as soon as they are able to.

“Thanks to our incredible fans for such a successful first year of AEW Dynamite,” he added. “We can’t wait to take the team over and wrestle there.”

As noted, Rhodes also recently touted the viewership numbers for his matchup against Orange Cassidy in the U.S., as the numbers for the AEW Dynamite Anniversary Special this past Wednesday night saw an increase of 120,000 for their showdown for the TNT Championship, which went to a Time-Limit Draw, setting up an immediate rematch between the two for the near future.
