Details On Whether AEW Mentions CM Punk & Cody Rhodes In Their Upcoming Book

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is preparing to release a book titled “All Elite: The Inside Story of All Elite Wrestling” later this month. Since the announcement, there have been speculations regarding the possible omission of two of the promotion’s biggest past stars, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk, raising concerns about a “rewriting of history.”

However, according to Fightful Select, this does not appear to be the case. They accessed an early copy of the book and reported that the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, is extensively covered. In fact, he is mentioned less than 15 minutes into the book.

The report highlights that Rhodes is featured in several sections, including topics such as All In, Double or Nothing, Dynamite, his significance to the TNT Championship, and his feuds with Wardlow, MJF, Chris Jericho, among others. It also quotes Excalibur, who, after Rhodes’ departure from AEW, stated that the company had to define its identity without “The American Nightmare.” However, the specifics surrounding Rhodes’ departure in 2022 are not discussed in the book.

Regarding newly-crowned WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, Fightful reports that he is mentioned no fewer than six times throughout the book. However, the major incidents known as Brawl In and Brawl Out—events that significantly impacted AEW’s backstage culture and ultimately led to Punk’s exit in 2023—are not covered.

The report further indicated that a source within AEW confirmed that every individual who played a significant role in shaping the company is included in the book, and both Punk and Cody were interviewed for it.
