WWE Playback: Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin & Robert Roode Reflect On WWE Clash 2017 Match (Video)

Ahead of this Sunday night’s WWE Clash Of Champions 2019 pay-per-view, a trio of WWE Superstars sat down together to reflect back on a Triple-Threat Match they had at the WWE Clash Of Champions 2017 PPV two years ago.

WWE Superstars Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode and Baron Corbin got together to sit down and rewatch their Triple-Threat Match against each other from the aforementioned WWE Clash PPV, which took place on December 17, 2017, from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

The match served as the opening match for the main PPV card that evening, and was for the WWE United States Championship, which Corbin held at the same. The bout went just under 13 minutes and saw Ziggler pick up the victory to become the new WWE U.S. Champion, starting his second reign with the belt, which ended the next night when he threw down the title in a segment on the post-PPV episode of SmackDown LIVE.

Ironically enough, it would be Roode who ended up with the U.S. Title when all was said-and-done, as he would go on to win a tournament that was held to crown a new champion, picking up his title-earning victory over Jinder Mahal in the tourney finals on the January 16, 2018 episode of SmackDown LIVE.

On Thursday, WWE released a special installment of their popular original series “WWE Playback” on their official YouTube channel, which features Ziggler, Roode and Corbin looking back on everything and sharing their thoughts on how things went down, along with any memories or interesting notes from that particular time period.
