Dolph Ziggler's WWE Status Is In Question

- According to PWInsider.com, Dolph Ziggler's status with WWE is up in the air. Ziggler has not been on WWE TV since last month after losing to Drew McIntyre and has removed the "Dolph Ziggler" name from his Twitter account, going simply by his real name, Nic Nemeth. Ziggler had previously been rumored to have signed a new contract extension with WWE, but those reports proved to be false and his contract is expiring later this month. Internally, there is a split opinion on his future with WWE - some are saying he will be leaving the company as of February and others suggesting that he won't be going anywhere.

- As noted before, The Revival asked for their release from WWE earlier this week, but they remain under contract and are still booked for house shows this weekend and beyond. WWE has refrained from commenting on their situation when asked for a statement, so the assumption is that the company is proceeding as business as usual with no intentions of giving them their release.

- PWInsider.com also reports that Mike Kanellis actually asked for a release with WWE "three weeks ago" but was denied. There was no further update on Maria Kanellis, but there is a very good chance that the husband-wife duo would stick together no matter what happens.

- WWE is also reported to be approaching several talent whose contracts are expiring within the year to re-up for multi-year agreements. With AEW launching and WWE's financial picture looking strong for the next few years with the upcoming TV deals kicking in this fall, the rumor is that the company is looking to lock up wrestlers to long-term contracts likely three, four or preferably five year deals.
