Color Triple H and Shawn Michaels impressed with Duke Hudson.
Hudson, who became the first man to win a first round match in the 2021 NXT Breakout Tournament on Tuesday night’s black-and-gold brand program with his victory over Ikemen Jiro, was the subject of high praise from the aforementioned WWE Hall of Fame legends following the show.
“One of the best parts of the NXT Breakout Tournament is the clash of styles from WWE NXT Superstars all trying to make a memorable impression,” wrote Triple H of the aforementioned Hudson-Jiro bout. “Congratulations to Duke Hudson on advancing to the next round!”
For his part, “The Heartbreak Kid” stated of the match and Hudson in particular, “Hard to argue with the size and strength from this young man.”
He added, “Great effort by Ikemen Jiro, but Duke Hudson advances!”
