Next Wednesday night, the women of All Elite Wrestling will make history.
For the first time ever, an Unsanctioned Lights Out women’s match will serve as the main event for what is a special St. Patrick’s Day holiday-themed episode of the weekly AEW on TNT program.
AEW Dynamite: St. Patrick’s Day Slam takes place next Wednesday, March 17, 2021, from Daily’s Place amphitheater in Jacksonville, Florida, with Thunder Rosa vs. Dr. Britt Baker in an Unsanctioned Lights Out match as the featured headline attraction on a show that will also feature the marquee tag-team showdown between the team of Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston and The Good Brothers — Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson.
One person who is excited to see the women receive this opportunity is a longtime pro wrestling veteran and a member of The Nightmare Family — Dustin Rhodes.
Rhodes took to social media following this week’s post-Revolution pay-per-view episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT to comment on the announcement that Rosa vs. Baker will be headlining Dynamite on St. Patrick’s Day next week.
“I know just how hard the ladies have worked for this,” Rhodes wrote via his official Twitter feed on Thursday afternoon. “We’re making AEW history next week!!!”
He added, “***DON’T MISS*** #WomensWrestling.”
