— Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s role for WWE’s upcoming WrestleMania 39 has been up in the air for a while now with no firm commitment from Johnson nor any sort of confirmation from WWE either. In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that those close to the situation believe that the chances of The Rock appearing at the PPV against Roman Reigns have decreased over the last few weeks.
— WWE is approaching a deadline of sorts where they would like to finalize WrestleMania plans and the report notes that unless Rock changes his mind within the next few days, he probably won’t be at the show as there won’t be enough time for him to get into the kind of shape he feels he needs to be to compete in a main event against Reigns. However, Rock has kept the door open for wrestling a match in the future if this year doesn’t work out. The report cautioned that it’s also still possible that Reigns vs. Rock is still in the plans for WrestleMania and that the program and match are simply kept secret from everyone except a handful of people.
