Although Edge has returned to the WWE Universe, don’t expect to see The Rated-R Superstar in any Tables, Ladders and Chairs matches anytime soon.
The WWE Hall Of Fame legend took to social media ahead of the WWE TLC 2020 pay-per-view on Sunday, sharing some memories of past TLC matches he competed in — including the most recent one that saw him capture his tenth world championship.
In the statement released by Edge ahead of last night’s PPV, he also appeared to confirm that he will not be competing in any more TLC matches in his career, despite being an active competitor once he returns from the sidelines from injury.
Featured below is the complete “Happy TLC Day” statement released by Adam Copeland prior to Sunday night’s WWE year-end PPV event at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL.
“Happy TLC day. This is a throwback to the last one I competed in. And let’s be honest, the last one I’ll ever compete in. But it ended well with my 10th world championship. If you had told any of the 6 of us, you know who the other 5 are, that there would be a ppv devoted to a match that our Dr.Frankenstein brains put together, no way we’d believe you. But here we are. To all the talent performing tonight, blow the doors off, and be careful.”
