Edge & Daniel Bryan Added To RAW & SmackDown Writing Team, WWE NXT Creative Team Changes

Some significant shakeups have been made to the WWE Monday Night RAW, Friday Night SmackDown and NXT on USA writing teams in recent weeks.

It looks like the declining ratings and viewership in WWE has resulted in some changes being made to the creative team and writing teams for the company’s respective weekly television shows.

The latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter at F4WOnline.com is reporting that two WWE Superstars have been given roles behind-the-scenes for their respective brands, as Edge has joined the Monday Night RAW creative team while Daniel Bryan has reportedly been added to the writing team for Friday Night SmackDown.

The report states that the active WWE Superstars have been given “significant creative influence” over each brand that they work on, with the veteran performers not only giving input to their own story lines and matches, but others on their shows as well.

In related news, an additional report published at PWInsider.com claims even more creative team changes are coming due to the WWE ratings and viewership figures hitting new record-low levels.

With the company losing in particular each week in the Wednesday Night Wars against All Elite Wrestling and the AEW Dynamite show head-to-head against WWE NXT, new writers have been brought in to contribute to the creative process for the weekly NXT On USA show.

We will keep you posted here at eWrestling.com as additional information continues to surface regarding changes to the WWE creative teams.
