Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman Won't Be Standing Across Ring From Edge At WrestleMania

Edge Ruled Out As Brock Lesnar Opponent For WrestleMania 36, Update On Who It Might Be

It looks like we can count out The Rated R Superstar as a potential opponent for WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 later this year.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, the discussion of Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania opponent came up, especially after Lesnar declared for this month’s WWE Royal Rumble.

Recent reports have focused on a returning Adam “Edge” Copeland as being cleared and possibly wrestling in a singles match at WrestleMania against Lesnar.

Dave Meltzer went on record to state that he was “flat out told” that Edge is not scheduled to be wrestling Lesnar at WrestleMania so thus his conclusion is that “it couldn’t be Edge.”

There continues to be conflicting reports on the status of Edge, with some suggesting that he’s readying himself for a return to WWE while he himself has gone on social media to deny those rumors.

Other names that were discussed were Aleister Black – a Paul Heyman “project” who is going to continue to be pushed this year and a now babyface Drew McIntyre.
