Four wrestlers have been given releases from their contracts with Lucha Underground.
After filing a lawsuit against Baba-G Productions and the El Rey Network over their Lucha Underground contracts, El Hijo del Fantasma, Ivelisse, Joey Ryan and Thunder Rosa were all granted releases as part of the settlement. They will immediately become free agents.
“I’m honored to say that we received 100% of the relief that we were suing to obtain and four young talented wrestlers are no longer bound by an unfair contract that prohibits them from taking full advantage of their talents at the prime of their career,” said attorney Andre Verdun, who represented the wrestlers in the lawsuits. “I wish them all the best of luck.”
El Hijo del Fantasma, Ivelisse, Joey Ryan and Thunder Rosa have all commented on the news in separate tweets, which you can check out below.

Grateful for the opportunity to create some cool stuff with LU, & the staff was always a joy to work with. The fact that the other stuff was not ideal was just unfortunate. Im also forever grateful to the #Believers the connection I made with you all is incredible. #FreeAgent pic.twitter.com/ArZsVJ3OeN
