Eric Bischoff was like everyone else when he learned that Vince McMahon was retiring from WWE.
He was shocked.
The longtime pro wrestling personality spoke about his reaction to the news while talking about the subject with Conrad Thompson on the latest installment of his 83 Weeks podcast.
Featured below are some of the highlights from the show where he touches on this topic with his thoughts.
On his initial reaction when learning that Vince McMahon had finally officially retired from WWE: “It was shocking. I’m still processing it. It’s still hard for me to believe. I woke up this morning, and I saw an image on my social media, and it was a picture of WWE Headquarters in Stamford [CT]. I thought, can you imagine what it’s like walking into that building knowing you won’t see Vince McMahon there ever again? At least not professionally as a leader?”
On how it must be to still work behind-the-scenes and not see Vince McMahon around anymore: “It would be weird to walk down those halls and not anticipate his presence. It would be really weird. I try to place myself in the shoes of like Bruce [Prichard], our buddy, and a lot of other people that I know that I’m very familiar with and close to. Gonna be a weird day for them come Monday morning, man. Really weird.”
