Finn Balor Breaks His Jaw In Two Places At NXT TakeOver 31, X-Ray Photos Of Broken Jaw

It’s official — Finn Balor is a bad-ass.

The NXT World Champion did, in fact, suffer a broken jaw during his successful title defense over Kyle O’Reilly at the NXT TakeOver 31 live special event on the WWE Network this past Sunday night.

As seen during the excellent main event between Balor and O’Reilly at the first event held inside the new Capitol Wrestling Center venue set up inside the WWE Performance Center training facility in Orlando, Florida, Balor had a badly swollen jaw and blood pouring out of his mouth by the conclusion of the contest.

After the match wrapped up with the handshake between Balor and O’Reilly and the subsequent post-match angle involving Adam Cole’s attack, the talk on social media was focused back on the efforts of Balor and O’Reilly, who had an extremely physical battle that saw both men take their fair share of lumps, due to Triple H announcing on his post-show media call that the NXT Champion was headed to the hospital.

Ahead of the post-NXT TakeOver 31 episode of WWE NXT on Wednesday evening, the reigning NXT World Champion took to social media to reveal an X-Ray confirming that he suffered a broken jaw in two places during his match with O’Reilly at the special event at the Capitol Wrestling Center this past weekend.

“Broken jaw in two places,” wrote Balor in the caption that accompanied the photos of the X-Ray of his broken jaw. “Still the CHAMPION.”

Balor continued, adding some hype for tonight’s post-NXT TakeOver 31 edition of WWE NXT on the USA Network.

“Full story tonight on WWE NXT on USA Network and BT Sport,” he concluded.
