Finn Balor Fires Back At Every Participant Announced For First-Ever NXT Gauntlet Eliminator

Finn Balor is keeping with his recent theme of essentially cutting social media promos in response to each participant that gets officially announced by WWE for this week’s NXT Gauntlet Eliminator match to determine his title challenger heading into the next NXT TakeOver special in October.

As noted, WWE recently announced Timothy Thatcher as the fourth of a scheduled five participants that will be competing in the first-ever match, which was introduced and explained by NXT General Manager William Regal on last week’s episode of WWE NXT.

In his most brief reaction to a NXT Gauntlet Eliminator competitor announcement yet, Balor responded to a tweet posted by the official Twitter feed for WWE NXT that read, “Timothy Thatcher sent over THIS message regarding the first-ever Gauntlet Eliminator Match this Wednesday on WWE NXT.”

The message referenced in the WWE NXT Twitter post was attached and simply read, “Words don’t matter. What happens in the ring matters,” to which Balor simply replied, “Exactly Tim.”

Previously, Balor had been posting lengthy reactions tweets as each competitor for the first-ever NXT Gauntlet Eliminator was announced.

Following the confirmation of the addition of Kyle O’Reilly to the bout, Balor wrote the following reaction to the video released by The Undisputed ERA member where he claimed to be “unproven” as a singles wrestler.

    In my book you ARE proven.
    It’s not an ‘if’ ,it’s very much a ‘when’ you face Finn Bálor.
    And when we do face , the only TING you will miss – Is having a partner to tag when your getting chewed up
    Huge oppertunity Kyle.
    Don’t Craic under the pressure
    Prinxe = Dimond

For his part, Grimes posted a tweet where he noted that the odds are in for the match, and he is the betting favorite, before apologizing to fellow participant in the bout, Kushida, and stating that he’s “gotta put the Prince down again!”

Balor offered this response to the Grimes tweet:

Grimes,you are one of the most underrated talents in the business. You even got a rare (albeit assisted) pin fall on the Prinxe. Strike whoever, cave in whoever,do your thing & when your done, meet me on the moon, my rocket ship got here years ago!

Finally, when he was announced as the first officially confirmed participant in the NXT Gauntlet Eliminator for this Wednesday’s episode of WWE NXT, Kushida posted a video on Twitter referencing a fight he had ten years ago against Balor.

In response to the Kushida video, the reigning NXT World Champion offered this response:

I like you Kushida, good luck in the gauntlet, i hope you win. So I can beat you again.. like I did 10 years ago,9 years ago, 8 years ago, 7 years ago, 6 years ago etc etc
