The first ever WWE ID Women’s Champion is no longer part of the program.
Kylie Rae posted on social media that she is leaving the WWE ID program, revealing that the company has decided not to renew her contract.
While the news seems somewhat surprising on the surface, Rae announced just three weeks ago that she was pregnant and as a result, had to vacate her WWE Women’s ID championship title, which she had only won mere weeks prior. There has been no update on the immediate future of the title since it was vacated but WWE’s decision not to renew her deal makes a little more sense given that she will be inactive for the next several months.
Earlier today, Zayda Steel also announced she was leaving the WWE ID program, however, in that case, she decided not to stay in the program.
The WWE ID program was created to highlight the indie scene, giving talent there financial support and exposure as they work towards furthering their wrestling careers, potentially leading to a contract with WWE’s NXT brand.
