— Malakai Black and Miro are now officially free agents having departed AEW earlier this week and at least one unconfirmed report suggests that it is only a matter of time before the pair land in WWE.
— In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the “belief” is that Black (formerly Aleister Black) and Miro (formerly Rusev) will be in WWE “very soon” and he further added that while less likely, it wouldn’t be surprising to see CJ Perry (formerly Lana) back with the company too in a storyline with Miro. The couple, once married but now separated, remain friends. Meltzer also claimed that within WWE’s creative team, they were talking about the two wrestlers.
— In the report, Meltzer also talked about Ricky Starks’ recent debut on WWE NXT stating that the company had long planned for Starks to debut in NXT at a “major event” but ended up speeding up the process when Starks hit free agency.
