Britt Baker Comments On Suffering Concussion At AEW Fight For The Fallen

Former AEW Women’s Champion Reportedly In The Doghouse Due To Bad Attitude & Reputation

An update on former AEW women’s champion, Britt Baker.

AEW President Tony Khan is reportedly so frustrated with Baker that she is no longer being booked for All Elite Wrestling according to PWTorch’s Wade Keller. The issue stems from multiple factors, with the DMD becoming increasingly difficult to work with, leading to her current absence from AEW programming.

Keller explained that while there is no official confirmation, AEW seems to have decided to distance themselves from Baker. He described her as being “wildly unpopular” in the women’s locker room, with one source stating that “no one ever wants to see her come back.” Although Keller acknowledged that some fans might disagree, he stressed that the sentiment within the locker room is overwhelmingly negative. This frustration has been building for some time, and a recent, unnamed incident was the final straw for AEW management.

One major factor in her current absence is a reported fallout with MJF. While Keller did not go into specifics, he mentioned that this incident played a role in her sidelining, alongside other ongoing issues with Baker’s attitude and behavior. She has long had a reputation for being difficult to work with, and this behavior appears to have only worsened. According to Keller, even minor incidents have added to the overall sense of frustration, prompting AEW to reassess her value to the company.

Baker’s reputation for being fiercely territorial over her role within AEW is also a point of contention. Despite her rise to prominence as the first female talent signed by AEW and her status as a centerpiece act, Keller suggested that AEW’s women’s division is now strong enough that they don’t feel they need to put up with Baker’s behavior anymore.

Importantly, Keller clarified that Baker’s issues are unrelated to her real-life relationship with Adam Cole, who is not responsible for her current position within AEW. Her absence is solely due to backstage dynamics and her increasing difficulty in working with others.

Baker had her most recent AEW match on November 13, 2024, against Penelope Ford. After the match, Serena Deeb confronted Baker, who was reportedly overheard saying “nobody cares,” further intensifying the tension surrounding her backstage reputation. Since then, Baker has not appeared on AEW TV, and Keller noted that fans should not expect to see her return any time soon.
