Former AEW Wrestler Makes Surprising Debut For WWE Tonight; Another Wrestler Leaves AEW

— As witnessed on tonight’s episode of WWE NXT TV, “All Ego” Ethan Page debuted for the black and gold brand attacking NXT Champion Trick Williams and revealing that he was the person behind a recent series of attacks on NXT talents. Page was most recently in AEW, while also working for ROH, but departed the company earlier in May due to reasons that are still not known. PWInsider.com reports that Page was at the WWE Performance Center last week “under the cover of extreme darkness” and has signed a contract with the company.

— As well, there appears to be another exit from AEW as bodyslam.net reports that Jake Hager’s contract has expired, effectively making him a free agent. The decision to part ways was reportedly mutual and comes days after Mark Henry confirmed that he is on his way out too. While he never won a title in his five year stint with AEW, Hager had been with the company since the very first episode of Dynamite and is a former world champion in WWE where he wrestled as Jack Swagger.
