Adam Copeland

Former Champion Makes Surprise Return At AEW Worlds End PPV Last Night

— Veteran wrestler and former TNT champion Adam Copeland is finally back. Following Jon Moxley’s successful title defense to close out Worlds End, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta continued to beat down Jay White when FTR made an entrance. Soon after, a “Rated FTR” logo popped up on the big screen before Copeland made his return. After Yuta and Castagnoli were sent out of the ring by FTR, Copeland went face-to-face with Moxley before hitting him with a spear, breaking off a piece of a chair and using it to crossface Moxley before he was saved by Castagnoli. It was then announced that Copeland and FTR will take on Moxley, Castagnoli and Yuta next Wednesday on AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen.

— Copeland appeared on the post-PPV media scrum and noted that he had been cleared from his leg injury for a while now but after discussions with Tony Khan, he decided to stay home in order to sort out the fallout related to the hurricane that went through Asheville, NC. Copeland also revealed that along with FTR, they plan to go after the Trios titles while individually, he is targeting AEW World Champion Moxley, noting that it would be a first-time-ever match. He hinted that it would happen sooner rather than later.
