Chelsea Green doesn’t have the best luck.
The NXT Superstar made her Full Sail University debut at the television tapings in Winter Park, Florida on Wednesday evening, however the result of her debut was an operation for a broken wrist.
Green took to social media to post about suffering a wrist injury during her non-televised dark match against Jessie Elaban last night.
“Today I had the opportunity to wrestle for the first time at Full Sail for [NXT] after years of dreaming of it,” wrote Green via her official Instagram page. “Wow, it was everything I had imagined it would be!”
From there, the former Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion revealed that she suffered a broken wrist after a spot went wrong in the middle of their match. “Of course, with this job comes occupational hazards. Unfortunately, I broke my wrist mid-match [and] will require surgery first thing tomorrow morning.”
WWE announced that Chelsea Green signed with the company after parting ways with Impact Wrestling, where she worked as ‘Laurel Van Ness,’ noting she reported to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida in October of 2018.
Green, who also competed on the 2015 edition of WWE Tough Enough, made her in-ring debut as an NXT Superstar at a non-televised live event soon after her signing in October of 2018, however she had yet to debut on TV.
“It sucks,” Green added in the aforementioned IG post. “I’m upset, I’m angry, I’m sore… but I’ll be back soon.”
Green concluded, “This is just a tiny bump in the road to many goals I have set for 2019!”
