Yesterday, Alex Hammerstone, a former MLW champion, officially confirmed that he has requested his release from the promotion after being with them for five years. According to a report on Fightfulselect.com, the relationship between Hammerstone and MLW has deteriorated, but as of now, MLW has no intention of granting his release request, unlike what they have done for other wrestlers. Hammerstone’s contract with MLW is set to run until 2025, leaving over two years remaining on it. However, he hasn’t competed for the company since July, and there are currently no plans for him to be booked on any upcoming shows.
