Kevin Owens Praises Adam Cole's NXT Debut

Former NXT Wrestler’s Time in AEW Appears to be Over; Contract Will Not Be Renewed

— After not having been seen on AEW programming in almost a month, it appears we now the reason why. Bobby Fish’s contract with AEW is believed to be expiring and the company is not looking to sign him to an extension or a new deal, according to fightfulselect.com. His last appearance was on the August 3 episode of Dynamite as part of the Undisputed Elite return that seemed to be headed into a storyline with the Young Bucks but now looks dead in the water, perhaps due to a combination of Fish wrapping up with the company as well as injuries to Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly. He hasn’t wrestled for AEW in even longer, since the June-July timeframe and has been working some independent shows in the month of August, another sign that he’s on his way out.

— Fish hasn’t even been with AEW for a year, joining the promotion in October 2021 after a run in WWE’s NXT system where he was a member of the Undisputed Era before WWE released him in the summer of 2021.
