Former TNA Wrestler Enters Rehab After Being Arrested, Charged By Police & Suspended By Company

— Former TNA world champion Rich Swann has been suspended indefinitely by the promotion following a second arrest for disorderly intoxication and the wrestler ha also voluntarily entered himself into a substance abuse rehab program.

— Post Wrestling reported that Swann was arrested on June 8 in Altamonte Springs, FL where he was charged with disorderly public intoxication and causing a disturbance. TNA only became aware of the arrest with the outlet contacted them earlier this week seeking a comment. The company then released a statement that read as “TNA Wrestling takes any and all charges against its performers seriously. Rich Swann is responsible for his own personal actions” and noted that they have suspended Swann pending the results of an investigation that they are launching.

— Swann was arrested and charged in June after attempting to forcefully enter an apartment building that was not his but that he perhaps thought was. He only left after one of the occupants opened the door and showed Swann a handgun that he had. They then called police but declined to press charges though Swann had left the area by the time authorities arrived. Swann was then reported to be following and attempting to talk to a woman who was picking up packages at her son’s house. With Swann following her, she entered the house, locked the door and called police. When they arrived, Swann was described as being “incoherent” and “intoxicated” with glassy eyes, slurred speech and alcohol on his breath.

— As noted, this is not the first time Swann has had a brush up with the law with prior incidents occurring in 2022 as well as in 2017 when he wrestled for WWE. The latter situation led to an arrest and charge of domestic battery and he was suspended for two months by the promotion and later released.
