At the end of May, TNA sent an internal memo to its talent touting the return of two multi-time champions at the Against All Odds PPV. As revealed last night, those two starts were the tag team “IInspirational” – Cassie Lee and Jess McKay, who were formerly known in WWE as the IIconics (Peyton Royce and Billie Kay).
According to a report by fightfulselect.com, the deal to bring in the former champions was completed within the last couple of weeks but they are indeed under contract though it is believed to be less than a year in length. Both parties have the option to extend the agreement if they can mutually agree on that.
The recent organizational changes with TNA’s leadership was apparently a catalyst in the tag team deciding to come back which worked out as TNA has been looking at bolstering their Knockouts division with additional tag teams.
