— Last night during AEW Collision Slam Dunk Sunday, it was announced that AEW will present a special edition of Dynamite next month. The episode will take place in Boston on April 16 and themed “Spring BreakThru” while President Tony Khan went on social media to tout it as being a milestone as it will become “the longest running prime time weekly pro wrestling program in Turner Sports history”, presumably eclipsing WCW Nitro.
— Former WWE developmental wrestler Gable Steveson’s recent woes continued over the weekend as he was upset by Wyatt Hendrickson of Oklahoma State in the NCAA tournament finals at the 285 lb division. Steveson looked on his way to victory but suffered a takedown with just seconds left, giving Hendrickson a narrow 1-point win. Steveson had not lost a wrestling match since 2019 when he was only 19 years old.
— WWE NXT wrestler Karmen Petrovic was announced as competing at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport in Las Vegas on April 17 during WrestleMania week. She joins Pete Dunne, Natalya and Karrion Kross as WWE contracted stars who will also be on the show.
